My daughter was tutored by Lucy from Aspiring Minds tuition for several months in preparation for her maths sats in year 6. From the moment she started my daughter felt comfortable and at ease with Lucy. She genuinely looked forward to going each week. It was fantastic to see her confidence in maths grow with some patience and 1-1 help from Lucy. She did brilliantly in her sats and compared to her practise test more than doubled her score. But more importantly she went from finding her maths homework difficult and getting upset to feeling much more confident and happy giving it a go. My son is autistic and struggled to attend his last year of high school due to the effects of Covid, severe anxiety and burn out. After being rejected from all colleges because of his communications issues, we turned to private tuition. Lucy has been amazing with him. She moulds her approach for him perfectly. He is mute and can not deal with cameras so only Communicates typing. This leaves Lucy being alone on camera and waiting patiently for him to be comfortable to type his answers and replies. Not anyone could do this, it’s a true testament to what a considerate teacher she is. She sends me weekly messages to keep me in the loop of how he is doing and has built back some of the confidence lost from the trauma of school. She is setting him realistic goals and supporting him all the way to get there. She has paved the way for him to do other online classes and I truly believe if she hadn’t approached it the way she had none of it would have been possible.

I highly recommend Aspiring Minds Tuition. My girls have made excellent progress and gained a lot more confidence in Maths since attending classes with Lucy. They have improved in both grades and assessments in KS2, and most importantly, they loved the lessons. Lucy teaches maths in such a creative and fun way that they looked forward to class every week. Job done!
